Flecken, Punkte, Linien, Reste jeweiliger Farbigkeit sind auf dem Papier, Schnitte und Falten sind in dem Papier: ein Zeichnen auf, im und mit dem Papier. Im Hin- und Her zwischen Setzung und Aufhebung kommt es zu einer Präsenz des Blattes. Es bildet sich eine Situation, in der sich das Blatt als ein Mischwesen zeigt aus Vorgefundenem und Aufgefundenem. Diese Situation suche ich auf. Aber immer wieder fällt mir auf, dass das Foto als Form der Dokumentation die Sicht auf die Sache verdreht. Denn die fotografische Reproduktion geht von einer Gegenständlichkeit aus, die sie reproduziert. Aber für das Verständnis einer Situation ist entscheidend, dass man sich in der Situation befinde und nicht ihr gegenüber und in einer Situation kann man kein gegenständliches Wissen von dieser Situation haben.

Stains, dots, lines, remnants of colours are on the paper, cuts and folds are in the paper: a drawing on, in and with the paper. In the back and forth between positing and cancelling it comes to a presence of the sheet. It forms a situation in which the sheet shows itself as a hybrid of what has been found and what can be found. That’s the situation I’m looking for. However, I often notice that the photo as a form of documentation distorts the view of the thing. The photographic reproduction presumes an objectivity which it reproduces. For the understanding of a situation it is crucial to be in the situation and not observing the situation. Within a situation one cannot have objective knowledge of this situation.
